Three Elegant Color Options
The Elegant MS124 series was designed to blend seamlessly with modern interior architecture. The front panel is made of durable, aesthetically pleasing powder-coated sheet metal, ensuring high resistance to mechanical damage and long-lasting good looks. The device is available in three versatile color finishes:
- White – ideal for light walls, plaster finishes, and Scandinavian interior designs.
- Black – perfect for industrial and loft spaces, as well as contrasting decorative accents.
- Dark Graphite – an elegant choice that pairs well with architectural concrete, wood, and stone finishes.
Innovative Technology and High Precision
At the heart of the controller lies a Sharp optical-reflection sensor operating via the emission and reception of an invisible infrared light beam. Unlike traditional PIR motion sensors, the MS124 features a narrow, forward-facing detection angle. It detects an object (e.g., someone taking a step on the stairs) only when it crosses the beam, eliminating accidental triggers caused by people passing by in adjacent rooms.
The lighting turns on and off smoothly (soft start/stop), creating an elegant visual effect and extending the lifespan of LED strips and modules. Sensor readiness is indicated by a subtle glow from a discreet red LED located on the front of the housing.
Three Independent Adjustment Potentiometers
Located on the back of the device's printed circuit board (PCB) are three precision rotary potentiometers, adjustable using a small flathead screwdriver:
- DISTANCE (Range Adjustment) – allows smooth detection sensitivity adjustment from 30 cm to 140 cm, enabling you to match the sensor to the width of a staircase or hallway.
- TIME (Hold Time) – adjusts the lighting duration after motion stops, ranging from 5 to 90 seconds.
- LIGHT (Dusk Sensor) – sets the ambient light threshold at which the switch becomes active. Turning clockwise increases sensitivity to daylight (allowing operation during the day), while turning counterclockwise limits operation strictly to nighttime conditions.
Quick Flush-Mount Installation in FI60 Junction Box
The MS124 switch was designed for simple installation. The device fits standard flush-mounted junction boxes with a diameter of 6 cm. The spring-loaded mounting clip system enables secure and stable installation without screws or tools – simply push the module into the box. Disassembly is hassle-free by sliding and tilting the front plate.
The unit is powered by a safe DC voltage of 12V–24V and supports a load current of up to 9A, allowing direct control of high-power single-color (MONO) LED strips. It is also possible to connect two sensors in parallel on a single lighting corridor, use a bistable switch, or expand the system with LED signal amplifiers.
