The Elegant MS24 proximity switch is an advanced lighting automation device operating on the principle of emitting a laser light beam invisible to the human eye. Upon detecting an obstacle—such as a person stepping onto the stairs or walking down a hallway—the microcontroller immediately activates the connected light source. Unlike traditional PIR motion sensors, laser technology delivers higher precision, preventing accidental activations.
A key advantage of the MS24 model is its soft start / soft stop feature. Instead of a sudden flash, the LED strips and fixtures brighten and dim gradually, significantly increasing user comfort and creating an exclusive ambiance in modern interiors.

Intuitive Flush Mounting and Convenient Parameter Adjustment
The Elegant MS24 switch is designed for installation in a standard FI60 flush-mounted box. Installation is extremely simple and tool-free—after connecting the wires to the screw terminals, simply slide the sensor into the box. Integrated resilient side clips automatically lock the device, ensuring stable adhesion and a perfectly flush fit against the wall.
The MS24 electronic circuit offers full control over the lighting operation thanks to built-in adjustment potentiometers located at the back of the module:
- Distance adjustment (DISTANCE): allows precise setting of the obstacle detection range from approx. 0.3 m to 1.5 m.
- Hold time adjustment (TIME): allows setting the lighting duration after motion stops in the range from approx. 5 seconds to approx. 90 seconds.
Wide Compatibility and Application in LED Installations
The MS24 proximity controller operates on safe low voltage (12V–24V DC) and supports a load current up to 9A, which translates to a maximum power of up to 108W (at 12V) or 216W (at 24V). The device is dedicated to direct integration with:
- Single-color LED strips (Mono 12V / 24V).
- Stair LED light fixtures and spotlights.
- Sequential stair controllers (e.g., F146 cascade controllers).
